The ongoing transformations in modern society and the world of work have led to significant changes in forms of "primary and secondary sociability" (Castel, 1988) and public social policies. This multiplicity of dimensions unavoidably marks the fabric of social reality and has relations and implications on the social question, experienced by populations subjected to situations of social vulnerabilities "resulting from poverty, and/or weakening of affective - relational bonds and social belonging" (Brazil, 2004, p. 33). The production of the NUP FETPP analyzes the social question as a result of "inequality in the class society of mature capitalism" (IAMAMOTO, 2001, p. 16).
The general objective of the NUP FETPP is to establish itself as an academic-scientific space aimed at strengthening the production of knowledge through research, study, organization, and promotion of scientific events, workshops, and the establishment of national and international exchange relationships within the scope of teaching, research, innovation, extension, and continuing education. It is dedicated to conducting studies and research aimed at strengthening science, socializing, sharing, and internationalizing knowledge. Its studies focus on training, work, intervention, and public policies in a society deeply marked by various socio-territorial inequalities in national and international contexts.
The Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Formação, Trabalho, Desigualdade Social e Políticas Públicas CNPq (FTDESPP), registered in the CNPq Research Group Directory (dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/2212229572300449), is led by Prof. Dr. Edna Maria Goulart Joazeiro and is linked to the Núcleo de Pesquisa Formação, Educação, Trabalho e Políticas Públicas (NUP FETPP).
